  1. I have just finished the last city and must say I really enjoyed it. A helterskelter ride through a complex world of new stuff.what I enjoyed most was your intelligent story telling and descriptive language. So many e books are badly written and poorly edited.well done and I look forward to meeting Eli again.

Ahhhh, Now Nina, taking me to places where the whirlwind shadows of an arcane society mixes with the embellishments of high technology is a fine art indeed!! Not only did I not get enough sleep, but, was sorrowful when I had to stop reading to actually get some sleep. LOL You led me on such a merry chase that the time continuum ceased to exist. Your blend of all sorts of madness made me yearn to fall into the world of these wonderful characters and live there forever, and for this I thank you eternally *smile*. Please don’t ever stop writing!!! I will definitely tell others of The Last City. Be Thee Well and Peace be always with you. Your new adoring fan, James Shawanda.

Thank you Christina!! That’s so lovely of you to say! I’m so glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate you taking time to write. Many thanks and best wishes!

  8. Jayden Conti says:

Wow, Nina! I honestly didn’t expect myself to particularly enjoy this book because I’m not much of a crime reader, but this book, this masterpiece, is so much more than that! I just finished it and am filled with genuine sorrow that it’s over. The blend of a science-fiction-esque world with the biblical (for want of a better word) stuff like demons and whatnot left me speechless. There are a few things which make you stand out as a writer to me and these include your unparalleled ability to create truly deep characters that each have their own entirely unique backstory and complicated personality, as well as genuinely fantastic story-telling talent! Honestly, this plot line astounded me — darting from character to character, place to place, genre to genre, all the while constantly accelerating to a phenomenal climax. I can’t remember the last time I felt this way about a book. Truly wonderful stuff. Please, oh PLEASE keep writing!! I will be raving to all my friends, rest assured.
Looking forward to the sequel tremendously, Jayden.

You’ve made my day, Jayden!! Thank you so much for your wonderfully kind and encouraging words. I’m humbled and I really appreciate you getting in touch. Means the world to me. All my best wishes!

  11. Madison says:

I just finished reading this and I loved it so much! I didn’t think I was going to at first but I did. I loved the depth which allowed me to get further into the book and fall in love with characters. You always kept me on my feet though. I just hope the next book has more of Silho and Copernicus. I can seriously see this in a movie when the book catches on,and I’m sure it will. When it does you’ll see me auditioning! 😀 haha seriously.

  12. ninadaleo says:

Many thanks for your kind words Madison!! It’s very cool of you to write and let me know – it means a lot to me!! And yes let’s hope for a movie – lol 🙂 Much love to you!!

  13. Kath says:

  15. Kate says:

Hi there Nina. Thanks for a fantastic enjoyable read. Loved this book to bits. I was devastated to click the last page and realise it really was over. Well written & edited. Great believable depth of characters, their rawness, strengths, fears and personal challenges were very realistic. Please please please, head down butt up (as we say in Aus) and get to the sequel. Whilst I’m nagging – please keep the same characters involved. 🙂 I do agree, your story has great potential for a movie, I hope you get a deal signed up 🙂 🙂 Cheers n Merry New Festive Season Year (includes it all!!!) to you and your family.

  16. Kate says:

P.S. It’s next year here Nina…. LOL!! Where’s that sequel???

    • ninadaleo says:

Lol! 🙂 Many thanks for getting in touch, Kate!! I really appreciate your lovely words!! The same characters will be returning and some new ones too 🙂 Much love and Happy New Year to you and yours as well!!

  17. Guy says:

I, unfortunately, find myself wading through poorly formed garbage the vast majority of the time with the hope that I stumble across something more, something eclipsing. You’ve validated that hope.

    Thanks for sharing!

  18. ninadaleo says:

Thank you so much for this, Guy!!! It’s very cool of you to get in touch and let me know you liked it. Really appreciate it!! All my best wishes!

    • Guy says:

Just giving credit where it is due…

I’m definitely looking forward to more. It seems that you’re barely scratching the surface based on the framework and its inherit flexibility.

  19. ninadaleo says:

I’m definitely hoping to keep going. Book 2 will be out this year and then hopefully 3 and onwards after that! 🙂

  20. Peter says:

You have written a stunning novel, thank you, I found it great that you leave out enough detail for us to fill in the blanks and use our minds to see the novel rather than just read it. For me it rates up there with books like Altered Carbon, Gardens of the Moon, Wind up Girl and a few others, and like these books I would love to see a movie and a sequel

  21. ninadaleo says:

Thank you so much for this, Peter! It’s very humbling to be compared with such awesome books. Made my day! All my best wishes! (hoping for the sequel to be out a little later this year)

  22. Darlene Weaver says:

    Hi, Nina,
This is Darlene again, your half Aussie, oldest fan in San Antonio, Texas! Just checking in to see how the sequel is coming along. It is on my bucket list to read. I am planning a trip to Australia in 2004 to visit the cuzzes. Would your book be available in
Sydney sooner than anywhere in the States? I could pick it up then, if ready. Hey, no worries… no pressure! Yours is still only book in YEARS I have stayed up all nite to
    Read straight thru!

    • ninadaleo says:

      Hi Darlene!
So lovely to hear from you! Book 2 is just about to go to the publishers and will hopefully hit the digital shelves in the next few months (although I haven’t been given an exact date yet) and hardcopies should be available on Amazon worldwide at the same time the ebook is released. I’ll be keeping everyone posted though, and hopefully we can catch up one of these days at a signing!
Thank you so much for your kind support!!
      Much love XOXO

  23. Bookworm says:

Oh. My. Gosh. There is simply one word for a book of this caliber: wow. I have to say, it’s one of my favorites. I’ve read it 10-11 times, and found something new that I missed before every time, wonderfully written, beautifully detailed… I can’t wait for the sequel!

    • ninadaleo says:

Wow!! You’ve just made my day!!! Thank you so much for your extremely kind and encouraging words. I really appreciate you getting in touch with me. Means the world! Best wishes and much love to you XO

    See you

  27. ninadaleo says:

Thank you my lovely sister! XOXOXOXO

  28. Kate says:

Nina. Just letting u know I down loaded your 2nd book the other day. It’s the 1st E-book I have paid for! I am heading away on holidays over Christmas & am saving it for then. It is killing me NOT to start reading it now!! I don’t know if I can last the month. I am reading lots of trashy free books trying to keep myself distracted from your book! I think their poor quality makes my anticipation worse! Ha ha. I figure that it was almost this time a year ago I discovered your “The Last City”, so it will be fitting to read the 2nd book in the same timeframe! Cheers.

  29. ninadaleo says:

🙂 that’s awesome, Kate!! thank you so much and I hope it’s not disappointing! 🙂 Thanks for getting in touch – sending you best wishes! XO

  30. Jamie Harris says:

You are an amazing writer Nina, the creativity and imagination you put into your writing is absolutely outstanding. Both the ‘The Last City’ and ‘The Forgoten City’ were terrific reads, I can’t wait for the next! As a young writer myself you are truly inspiring. Will be telling everyone about your fantastic series. Much love x

  31. ninadaleo says:

🙂 🙂 Much love back to you, Jamie! Many thanks for getting in touch – I really appreciate your kind words – I’m humbled. Sending you best wishes always – and can’t wait to read your work as well – keep me updated! XOXO

  32. Nina – another stunner – the forgotten city is great – I was enthralled – regards – greg

  33. Kate says:

Nina, been meaning to say how fantastic your 2nd book was. Loved the sequel, and I appreciate the pressure & expectations of matching / exceeding the original! You did this btw, loved the story, characters, pace & language.

Unfortunately your books are such great reads everything else gets neglected until the last pages have been turned, then the disappointment kicks in as life without these characters kicks in!

Thanks for the stories and please keep writing!
